REFORMER PILATES | CHESHIRE
Reformer Pilates explained
While Pilates includes various exercises and equipment, most classes at our studio focus on the reformer. Often described as looking like a torture device due to its sliding carriage, ropes, and springs, the reformer is actually a traditional piece of equipment designed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s.
The reformer's unique spring system makes it highly effective and adaptable, catering to everyone from those recovering from surgery to elite athletes. During a class, you'll work your entire body, focusing on joint mobility, core stability, and balance.
With small class sizes, you'll receive personalised attention to ensure proper form and modifications, all in a friendly and supportive environment.

About Claire
Claire is a fully qualified mat and reformer instructor.
After years of pursuing my passion in the equestrian world, a severe horse riding accident left me with a dislocated and broken femur, ending my career. The following two years were incredibly challenging as I struggled with both the physical pain and the emotional toll of being unable to walk or ride. During my recovery, I discovered Pilates-based physiotherapy, which became crucial in rebuilding my strength. Encouraged by an osteopath to become a Pilates instructor, I realised the profound impact Pilates had on my recovery and wanted to help others on their wellness journeys. This led me to a new path as a Pilates instructor, and I’ve never looked back.
